Wheely big project!

I have decided to give myself more of a recreational project this time. However it isn't a small task. As you have seen I have been drawing some fictoinal railway Characters/Places, and now I have decided I am going to Draw everything on the Skarloey and Mid Sodor railway in season 4. To start with here are 4 pictures of rolling stock items.

The first is The gunpowder wagon, I drew this last night just for fun to see what it would look like, it was only this morning that I assigned myself the project.

This is a Skarloey Railway coal truck, I may redo the colours on this. I drew this and the next two today.

This is a Flat Truck used on both the Mid Sodor and the Skarloey Railway.

This is a Slate Truck, I didn't draw the slate in this, not because I thought it would be to hard, but because I thought it would look better without it and to be honest I think it does. I drew the face to the side so as you can see there are two different types. That's it for now expect more tomorrow!

And a couple more...

Here we go a couple more drawings done today. These are both Narrow gauge.

This is Whilton, he is the narrow gauge equivalent of S.C.Ruffey. He is incredibly bad, but one day he had rather a nasty accident on the viaduct, where he went so ruffly he derailed and crashed down below, no one has seen him scince.

This is Fritum station, it is located between Lakeside and Skarloey. It has extra engine sheds for visiting engines as there is no space at Crovan's Gate. It is in between some rather large hills and has some stunning views.

Drawings

Well I have at last got round to using my scanner and I have a couple of pieces of work to show you. The first one I drew quite a while ago but never got round to doing anything with it.

In case you cant read the writing it says... Harry No.14: A small 2-4-0 who helps Edward with short passenger trains and shunting in Wellsworth Yard.
The second one, I created last night because I was bored and had an idea now I can't keep away from my sketchpad because of this so expect more soon.

Again here's the text... Brint, Works Van: Brint can take equipment and workmen. He likes his job, but if he isn't used often he gets bored and begins to complain. Overall Brint is a kind hearted Van.
Hope you like them!

Winter Spirits

Well it's only 13 days till Mr Claus comes down our chimneys. Try telling a steam engine that! Anyway I've decided to show you some pictures of the engines of the Island of Sodor working at Brendam Bay. Yes there not Christmasy, but keep your eyes peeled because the winter shots could be anywhere!

Duck waits at the goods platform.

Meanwhile Oliver has paused to have a quick chat with Boco before going to fetch his trucks.

Bill and Ben are working hard at the Sodor China Clay company.

A little bit later Duck and Oliver meet at the Quay.

Here's a little more

Just as the title says really. A few more shots, these include the junction which was built yesterday and a mainline station just along the line!

The Junction Itself (nearly finished)

The Lower station this is on the branchline just a little way from the junction, still needs a lot of work.

Now back to the mainline and the bottom of the hill.

Carrying on up the hill.

Finally we reach the top.

Now we reach the station on the otherside of the hill. I built this earlier, it may look done but the whole area needs working on.

Maybe now you can see what I mean, an overall shot of the village.

Looking down the hill showing the little river that goes to the sea.
Expect more soon as I hope to reach Knapford tomorrow.

Let's make a start!

So here it is, my own blog! Now I will be posting many updates on here, so it will be easier to see everything I'm doing. To kick it all off here's a few shots of my new route in Trainz!  This is called the NWR (North Western Railway) This is the route the great Reverend.W.Awdry wrote about, and now with thanks to Sean O'conner for his great NWR loco's giving  me inspiration, I show you the route in Trainz.

This is where I started the route, at Ffarquhar, so here is the sheds.

Ffarquhar Station.

The other side of the yard.

Looking away towards the Top Station.

On the way to the Top station. This is where Daisy hits a cone in 'Thomas comes Home'

Finally, The Top station it's self with Percy in the background, as you can see this is work in progress.
That's it for now expect more posts soon!
